Francisco Araiza DICE TODO LO CONTRARIO EN LA POSICIÓN DE LA BOCA...¿A QUIÉN LE HACEMOS CASO?
Cantano schiacciando tutti suoni!!! ORRIBILE!!! NON SI PUO' ASCOLTARE!!!!
The girl in blue is actually doing it right and she teaches the wrong (widespread mouth). That's all what is wrong with modern opera teaching.
mozart is hard.
Enseñando a Cantar el personaje de Dalilah SAMSON SAMSON. de CAMILE SAINT SEENS
GRAN AMNERIS DE LA TRAVIATA
What a wonderful class!
She is just ruining soprano. Squeezing isn’t a solution. You go horizontal too early, you die.
Horrible teaching making the voice more white, nasal or squeezed. Especially in the ”Mi tradi”. Voices should develop a cavernous sound instead.
Wunderful, like a warm Bach in summer
Menomale che è scuola italiana..... Nemmeno una parola....
I finally learn to open my mouth so loud to sing the high note. It is like I am going to bite somebody LOL. I used to feel shy to open my mouth to sing in public, but now I am used to it.
I love watching this class and incorporate the exercises as part of my vocal warm--up.😀
3:59 What is this singer's name?
So wet
3:59 My favourite female voice timbre! ♥️🎶
Male!!!!
Proprio Materclass
Dolora,tutto ok,però insegnale anche a inspirare giusto.Non tutti respirano già bene.!comunque ,bravissima!

Another voice teacher which k ows NOTHING!!!
This video is hard to watch.
Terrible
ua-cam.com/video/VT9q5K2BtKI/v-deo.html Listen to Pavaroti's advice for singing Opera, If you understand Italian. Then you finally realize her teaching is far from right approach to opera
If Maria Callas could see what that false teacher does, callas would yell at her saying you are an enemy of opera
Nasal and with spread mouth. Perfect recipe for a ruined voice.
I just don't know why Zajick encourages spreading the mouth. She didn't do that. Wide mouth singing is wrong. Long mouth, but not wide is the right way to sing. Spreading the mouth like a big smile makes the sound edgy and thin. It closes the pharyngeal space. Only the greatest singers adhered to this. Nilsson never spread her mouth. Nor did Caballe.
Well Dolora is in the same league as a singer with Nilsson and Caballe. One of the greatest Mezzos ever; so she knows what she is talking about.
Exactly. This is painful to watch.
So confusing!! Isn't spreading the mouth wide like this exactly what an operatic singer is NOT TO EVER do?
@@eilinodea209 yep, which is why modern opera voices are so terrible.
As bel canto singing beginner, I don't think opening the mouth in such a big range is a good idea as it disperses the sound. I am just feeling lucky that I am having a good teacher now.
Resonance for bel canto in that high pitch should be using not only pharynx, but also head to maximise the relaxation of the whole upper body. The way demonstrated in the video applies too much tension on the throat, though it does create a strong pharynx resonance. Just a personal opinion regarding this as a bel canto beginner, open for criticising.
Interessante ver as várias maneiras de ensinar.
You can't argue with the result, but her open mouth horizontal position is very unorthodox, and it will wreck some of those kids if they persist with it.
Ransom Coates There are better ways to get an even better sound without widening their mouths.
3:57 :0 what´s her type voice? omg that dark color in her voice
Contralto
Singing on smile never helped anyone.
This is horrendous... So many people watching this video will get a bad impression. You should NEVER open your mouth sideways.. The tone loses its resonance and direction. There is no way you can sing over an orchestra with a mouth like that..
no no no
it's true. the point she was making re: vowel modification WAS true. the tilt of her head, though, is bad pedagogically. I say that with the caveat that IT worked for HER. So who the hell am i lol Same thing with Jessye Norman re: overextension of jaw and overworking of mouth. BUT it worked for her and she sang beautifully forever. rip

Fantastic teacher/singer. What a beautiful experience to have a REAL singer demonstrating rather than just talking.
this is an amazing video.
This is not real opera... wtf?
engola mucho la chinita
Ok .. .students, please watch this video and do exactly the opposite ... ! Every student in this video sing the same way ... just as their teacher. No diversity in the voices, in the results ... Is the aim to make sound volume ???? And above all that, the french pronunciation is wrong ! Singing (making music in general) is not about copying ... but about expressing ourselves our own way.
So we have Zajick counseling singers to open their mouth. This is Jan. 2019; up until a couple of years ago, Zajick was my go-to Amneris, Adalgisa, and Azucena. But -- guess what: This lady with the enormous voice started to sound like a little mouse in the octave from middle C to the C above, and she kept her mouth closed to sort of squeeze out the sound. IMO In her early years, whatever she was doing encouraged a vocal production that made her middle voice too heavy, so that the bottom overpowered that part of her range. Keeping one's mouth closed helps the upper "resonance", and that was her solution. As I said, I haven't heard her in person in a couple of years.
